The first piece I covered with the tail section was the fin. I cut my first piece of fabric and it was to small. Big mistake on my part. The first piece will be used in other locations. It won't be waisted.

 

Here is the start of covering of the elevator. In covering the tail sections the fabric is one piece as per the

POLY FIBER MANUEL.

After the top and bottom is glued on fabric is applied to the end caps and then fabric tape is used.

In this photo you can see that I am making bolt hole fabric gussits.

To make the gussits I loosely stapled fabric down to the table and shrunk the fabric with my iron. As you can see here circles were made and cut out with pinking shears.

Every bolt hole that goes through the fabric has a fabric gussit.

This is the finished fin before the paint job. On the lower front of the fin you can see the fabric gussit where a bolt goes through.

This photo shows the fin and elivator ready for paint.
