In The Beginning
Sky
King & Mickey Mouse. Those
were my favorite TV Shows when I was a little kid. I will have
to say that Mickey mouse edged out Sky King until I was a little
older. I fell in love with the Cessna 310 when they introduced
it on Sky King.
Even today
I think it is the sharpest looking twin out there!!
The reason
for this page was to show you the plans I had purchased of an
ultralight I was going to build back around 1970. At this time
I can't find the plans and I would never dispose of them. When
I find them I will post photos and info.
This aircraft
was called a WING DING II. On this UL you set out front like a
Quicksilver. The fuselage was flat, cut out of a couple of pieces
of plywood.This UL was a BY Plane and the ailerons were actually
set up on the wing warp method.
The Wing
Ding II was a pusher aircraft using a 12hp chain saw engine. In
the plans they showed you how to make your own prop. All supplies
were from your local lumber yard and hardware store. After I ordered
the plans I was informed by my parents that they were going to
take my garage and turn it into a family room.
All I can
say is that I'm glad they did!
