Odd's & Ends Page 2

This photo shows the strut tube parts. The struts are attached to the wing down to main wheel axle's. This construction is the same as on the Mini Max. Strut tubes are very easy to build.

This photo shows the wings attached to the main spar carry through. The round tubes are attached to the wings for the wing folding mechanism.

I was almost in tears when I cut these holes in the fuselage on both sides. With the top deck installed it is almost impossible to reach the bolts and nuts on the inside of the firewall. This hole is the size of an inspection plate that will be installed at final assembly.

The five gallon fuel tank is behind the seat and the fuel lines come through the cockpit up to the engine. On another FP 303 they used cushioned loop clamps and they were screwed to the top longeron. I didn't care for the looks of it. This photo shows the blocks I installed under the longeron so the fuel line will be tucked up underneath for most of the lenth of the cockpit.
