Rudder Controls

 

Installing the rudder controls is a pretty simple thing to do. On each side there is one cable. The cable is run through thimble and a nico is pressed on at that location .

Both ends of the cable are run through the seat back. Make sure they are not tangled or twisted.

The cables go back to the rudder horn and to the tail wheel.

The plans show a direct connection of the cable to the rudder horn with a thimble and nico installed. I elected to use a turnbuckle assembly. The reason is that I can make adjustments to the rudder if needed. The turnbuckles will be safety wired at final assembly.
